WHAT HAPPENED TO AUTUMN??

Hold on to your seat, family and friends, 

this is a catch up of events from September to Thanksgiving!!

 

 Our seasons in Maryland are never quite sane...

     This autumn we've had heat, snow and much rain.

But Jim's girls played on and on through the fall

           And became league champions ---winner take all

           Though he's not coaching a winter sports team...
     The athletic department still needs him it seems
           Representing the school as an ambassador host
        And he gets to watch, too, that's what he likes most...

Though my students are great 

and I love when I see them

      I also like my other gig---at the Newseum

Once a week I ride the metro downtown to D.C.

                           I see tourists and students...

and myself on the Big screen (yikes!)

I love taking guests like Hansens--  

                          Like Linda and Don....

  And even those who don't come from Oregon 

(HEY, GRINEYS)  

I sometimes catch sight of the famous like Will and Nancy P.

  And I love the friends who volunteer there with me.

Metro rides aren't something I usually dread

 

         Who knows when you'll come across someone in red...

 

           But the most interesting rider I met this past season

Is Monte, a man I call "hero" for a good reason

 

             While serving his country in far off  Afghan...

He sacrificed much more than most servicemen 

 When our chat turned to shoes and his favorite brand

I knew that he had to meet my favorite son Sam  

On the Wounded Warrior tour I got some good pix

Then Sam and I surprised Monte with a new pair of "kicks"

Evelyn took some gifts to Abby from us

Sam cheered for his teams along with the POTUS 

 

When Sarah decided she needed a new set of wheels

               Zack and I went along to check out the deals

Thankful for friends, turkey, pies and good weather

And Nancy and I doing jig saw puzzles together

It's beginning to look a lot like...

????AUTUMN in MARYLAND????
