MEAL BY MICHELLE
Before she left for home in Boston after final exams, Michelle wanted to treat our family to a meal. Though Jim was hoping for something Chinese, Miss Cho said it had to be Italian.

It was delicious and she got some preparation help from Sam & Abby.

It has been a blessing for us to have Michelle attend church with us

and spend time in our home when she is not studying

hard at GWU in D.C.

CHRISTMAS MORNING 2007

table. No cousins nor old friends.

How special to celebrate the birth of our Savior with

these 3 special gifts I have been given by our Lord.

PLUS filet mignon and Abby’s sopopilla cheesecake for dessert.

Sadly, the following day Jim made a journey west to be with his brother in San Francisco. Joseph’s wife of 15 years, Darlia Wright passed away a few days before Christmas in the presence of her husband, sons and brother. We observed from afar her battle against cancer and her desire to live. Her last e-mail to me had been a request for encouragement and care for Joseph, who was her main care-taker and best friend. Her concern for his care revealed her heart for others. Her funeral was a celebration of her life and acknowledgement of the many lives she had touched in her 61 years.

This month her artwork will be on display at the local library.

She was a published poet, whose first book was her last Christmas gift to the family this year.
