We met some old classmates at church---Timberline
Then 12 holes with Jamie, Jim played just fine…

When I was just 15—& had no employment before
A man took a chance and hired me to clerk in his store

Margie’s sweet parents still hold a place in my heart
Mr. Garrigues, my first boss, gave me a good start.

Jim kept up with Olympic swimming scores
While my sisters and I hit the malls and stores

Though it was almost like 3 consumers on a mission,
Gail suggested we sisters start a new tradition
“Whenever the three of us are all together
Why don't we buy something useful in leather?”

A purse, a handbag, something to be carried
Then we’ll surprise the guys that we married
