MOUSE!!
We gave Sam ONLY TWO assignments while we were gone:
One—Keep Sadie alive
Two---Catch the mouse that has been eating my chocolate.
Jim got home on the 12th….to find---
Sadie was alive & well.

Unfortunately, so was the mouse. After 3 sticky traps (all of which were turned over with mouse fur stuck to them)
and 2 really pathetic plastic traps…
which I refer to as "wooden wannabes",
Sam (who does have an academic scholarship to the University of Maryland)
was losing to a rodent!!
Dad to the rescue.. He found no wooden traps at his favorite store…
Home Depot (note tongue in cheek).
But thanks to friend Charlotte next door…he obtained one.
First night though “Mighty Mouse” was able to trip the trap

and escape with a tummy full of peanut butter.
(Oh, get over it PETA!!)
Mom to the rescue…I got home on the 15th—
happy to see my son, my dog and my husband.
BUT…when someone or something messes with my chocolate---
BEWARE..
I re-arranged the trap and decided to add a little fly paper strip
I re-arranged the trap and decided to add a little fly paper strip
next to it. (Obligatory mouse turd in view).
If this one got away…he might have trouble with the sticky stuff.
VICTORY---Mouse one was a goner by midnight.
Jim was able to catch 2 more little mice friends the next day.

I think my chocolate is safe...for awhile!
MEALS!!
Tonight was Sam's last night at Ledos.
He is taking the semester off from work.
His buddies fixed him a special pizza--
each piece a different combo.
because he had devoured it before I got home.

It is time for Brett to go back to Florida for college (& baseball).
But first we had to have our traditional “Bye Bye, Brett” dinner together.
The boys voted unanimously for Coastal Flats at Tysons Corner.

So this is what resulted with a camera phone & a busy waiter.
The food was good. The fellowship was great.

MORE PIX OF MY REUNION!!!
Some of my classmates have been posting more reunion pictures.
I have “Borrowed” some of these.
Especially, those that have me in them.
After all…it is all about ME, right??
Well, it really isn’t---but it was fun to see some more shots.

Oh my gosh! the story of the mouse cracked me up! We once caught a whole family of mice with the wooden traps and peanut butter! That was about 20 years ago and I paid my daughter Danielle to pick them up and throw them out! LOL. I also love the reunion pics, your quite the "party Animal!" You have so much joy and i so admire your youthful attitude! You remind me of a 16 year old, but more mature :)
Hey i've learned a few more blogging tips so I need to pass them on to you!
Love you and thanks so much for the kind comments on my blog! You have the gift of encouragement!
love you
Is that you leading the locomotion?
And the one where you've cleared the dance floor in the cute black and white outfit, I have seen that same picture before but different outfits: My wedding and Dad's 50th birthday party. I'm sure there were others, I just don't have the evidence.
I love you. I love your dance.
